In 2025, I became the social media coordinator and brand designer for this Denton-based political organization.
I created both digital and print collateral to advertise events, fundraisers, and volunteer opportunities, scheduled and wrote copy for consistent Instagram posts, designed brand language and assets to appeal to their audience, and created physical merchandise available for purchase at events.
I had a lot of fun creating graphics that complemented their outrageously Gen-Z branding, and I thank this opportunity for guiding me to my first steps through the freelance design world.
Shift Left
Relating to the Gen-Z Voter
This brand’s goal is to heal the apathetic attitude of Generation Z’s politics and foster a culture of community building, hope, and mutual aid.
In the overwhelming, fast-paced world of journalistic media, how can we spread our left-wing political messaging that catches young voters’ attention without relying on outrage or bleak headlines?
I decided to run with a “chronically online” aesthetic that points fingers directly at the problem- our generation is glued to our phones, and although we can’t stop, we’re tired of it.
The slogan, “Touch Grass,” was created to be a reminder of what the people crave: real, meaningful connections with “IRL” communities, a break from the internet’s constant barrage of information, and opportunities to help in ways they never thought possible.
